Mikie's Ice Cream & Green Cow in Pennsylvania

"Mikie's has been a fantastic family environment for over 20 years! Whenever I visited my family up north as a kid we would come to Mikie's for ice cream after running around all day. I hadn't been there in over 20 years but, when I walked through the doors it was exactly the same feeling. Same look, same great service. The place I enjoyed as a child I was able to share with my son. Definitely stop by Mikie's! I know I will always make a trip through whenever I'm in town!"

"Mikie's is up the street from where we practice baseball and softball several nights a week. We've stopped in a couple of times and it's usually been really busy. The 1st time I went I had a cheesesteak and order of breaded mushrooms. The cheesesteak wasn't bad, but the mushrooms were really good, even for the small portion. My son had a burger, fries and onion rings. He's a little guy and his eyes were bigger than his belly, so he only got through about half. He said his favorite was the onion rings. I stopped in another time with my daughter and she had the shrimp basket that she liked and I had the brisket sandwich with potato wedges. I definitely liked that more, but I had them put the cheese on the side because I don't think cheese belongs on brisket. It was good for the wedges though! I do recommend Mikie's just don't be in a hurry, it's a busy place!"

"I love this place. Old fashioned little hometown restaurant with a good selection of food, decent prices, servers that work hard, good tasting food and a cool play area in the back where one can play ski ball and lots of other fun games. I got the brisket special which was approximately $11 and it included a decent size brisket sandwich, potato wedges and a large drink."

"Stopped by on the way back from camping at cowans gap on a hot day, based on a Google search. It is more than an ice cream shop. It has an arcade, serves sandwiches, and even has a gift shop. Bringing the ice cream to our table was a nice touch. The kids had the software chocolate and vanilla, while we had the cherry and coconut with almonds. The portion sizes for a small was a lot more than we are accustomed to."

"Our first time here did not disappoint us. The ice cream here is delicious. There are probably about 2 dozen flavors to pick from. They also offer italian ices. The ices are not too sweet. Serving sizes are generous. There is a griddle/grill where you can order hot sandwiches, wraps, hamburgers, French fries, etc. There are tables inside and outside and the dining area is large and comfortable. There is even an arcade game area for the young ones. They also have a small gift shop. It was quite busy when we arrived. Will definitely go back. Did not give it 5 stars yet because we want to try other things on the menu."
